POSITION SUMMARY:
Bid Management is a key role for our organization, having direct and significant impact on the success of our sales. We are looking to hire an enthusiastic, ambitious, and entrepreneurial Bid Manager who has at least three years of experience, ideally from working for a software solutions or services company. You will be responsible for overseeing the development of proposals, bids and other sales documents describing MRI’s products and services in response to requests from prospective and existing clients. This is a collaborative role which will require working with members of the sales, presales, marketing, finance, legal, and product teams to ensure content is complete, accurate, and timely. This role will also help drive MRI's product direction based on inquiries from prospects.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee bid process and governance
  • Manage the bid qualification (bid/no-bid) process for new opportunities
  • Manage framework applications, submissions and reporting
  • Responsible for the submission of high-quality, professional bid responses within the required timescales for all our products and solutions
  • Manage virtual bid teams and inputs from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, pre-sales, product specialists, finance, HR, legal and delivery
  • Ensure all the individual bid contributors are aware of their obligations and responsibilities and their deadlines for submission
  • Prepare and review the commercial aspects of the bid
  • Contribute to the written proposal both in terms of content and presentation (such as presentation of the management summary)
  • Maintain the bid library and team site of standard responses, policies, case studies and images that can be accessed easily as and when required
  • Work with bid automation software to promote content reuse and continual improvement in the bid process
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of MRI’s solutions and the markets in which we operate
  • Work closely with other stakeholders within the business such as Marketing, Development, and the Implementation teams
  • Travel with occasional overnight stays and occasional travel internationally



REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience of bid management from opportunity identification through to project delivery
  • Ideally a background of solutions and/or services
  • Strong people management, including influencing others who may not directly report to you
  • Strong commercial skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines
  • Comfortable working at CEO/Director level
  • Confident, tenacious, and motivated with high energy
  • Self-sufficient needing little supervision
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com
  • Ideally experienced with bid automation software, such as Loopio
